Navah Mirage was founded in 2007 by an eclectic group of ladies who believe in the importance of respect for culture, the dance art form, and the individual. With these ideas in mind each troupe member adds a unique balance of creativity that allows you to enjoy fusion, raqs sharqi, and other transnational stylizations.
We believe deeply in supporting the health and wellness of the community. This must start with the individual and grow outward. As a counterpart to our individual leadership development, troupe members train and create original works of art to perform at each event. Countless hours are proudly given to help raise funds for not for profit and other charitable causes by providing entertainment at such events. Navah also personally offers 10% of her project income to charity. Giving back to our community is our mission. Developing in dance can and does develop hearts because movement is medicine.
In service to our community and in alignment with this mission, we will be donating a portion of proceeds from Dreamscapes to the Green Bay chapter of the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest fundraiser for Alzheimer's care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease.
This show is dedicated in loving memory of my grandfathers, William Martin and Robert McCabe, who both struggled with Alzheimer's during their lives.
